**Job Overview**

Licensed (State of Maryland) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) -- minimum Master's Degree.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of clinical and medical staff, ensuring each patient’s comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. This individual will consistently adhere to organizational policies and apply evidence-based clinical practices to support the highest-quality patient outcomes.

**Provider Requirements & Preferences**

We are seeking fully licensed and board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners with a minimum of 1 year of PMHNP clinical experience. (2 years of PMHNP clinical experience preferred). Candidates must be able to work remotely and provide in-office services 2 days per week at our Frederick and/or Hagerstown, MD locations.

  • Must have a current active/valid Maryland state clinical license.

  • Must have a valid Controlled Substance License II through V.

  • Must have a Federal DEA Certificate LL through V.

  • Provide extraordinary care by evaluating and treating individuals who present with various mental health, substance abuse and developmental disorders.

  • Provide consultation/collaborative treatment with other treating providers, in & outside of Dagenhart Health and Wellness.

  • Evaluate and assess patients, provide a plan of care, prescribe medication for patients with mental health conditions.

  • Will serve as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to include nurses, care coordinators, clinicians, and other service providers as needed.

  • Responsible for documenting in the Electronic Health Record, achieving measures for Meaningful Use, CPT documentation elements, and promoting integrated primary and behavioral healthcare.

  • Provision of crisis intervention services to clients/patients as needed. Crisis intervention may require consultation with additional staff regarding management/treatment concerns, referral, and/or mental health follow-up.

  • Inform Clinical Office Manager and Owners of personal need for additional clinical supervision, overall problems in the delivery of clinical services, and/or proposals to improve clinical skills.

  • Compliance with employee standards of the facility. Compliance includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance of a professional working environment and personal appearance consistent with professional responsibilities, development of harmonious working relationships, and timely notification of supervisory personnel of absences from institution.

  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

**Role Expectations & Clinical Services**

Prescribers at Dagenhart Health and Wellness typically see 50-60 clients per week, with alternative scheduling options available and compensated accordingly. Our model is committed to dedicating 30 minutes for follow up appointments and 90 minutes for intakes. Providers deliver outpatient medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults.

In this role, the prescriber will have the opportunity to consult with and evaluate clients across the lifespan, utilizing various approaches within their professional scope and level of comfort. Upon request, prescribers may also participate in the development and presentation of workshops, trainings, and seminars for the community and partner organizations.

Additionally, our prescribers contribute to the ongoing development, safety, and effectiveness of the practice by supporting quality improvement efforts aimed at ensuring the highest standard of care.

**Compensation & Benefits**

  • Salary: $125,000+ annually depending on experience.
  • W-2 salaried employment.
  • Session note time built into your weekly schedule.
  • Paid Time Off: 160 hours annually to start, with increases each full year of employment (this includes all PTO: sick, holiday, etc.).
  • $500 annual CEU reimbursement.
  • Pay provided for no-shows and late cancellations.
  • Paid monthly staff meetings and clinical case consultations.
  • Support with insurance paneling and CAQH, if needed.
  • Strong administrative support team managing scheduling, billing, and related tasks.
  • Health insurance benefits (50% employer-paid), plus optional dental and vision.
  • Simple IRA retirement plan with 3% employer match.
  • Hybrid work model: Telehealth and in-person services, with a minimum of two in-office day per week.
